VWR’s Liquid-Stable Nuclear Fast Red is a room temperature, stable solution formulated specifically to prevent precipitation during storage, which is a problem commonly encountered in homemade solutions and competitors’ products. Liquid-Stable Nuclear Fast Red is used in immunohistochemistry as a nuclear counterstain on slides treated with routine histological chromogens or stains, such as DAB or Prussion blue. Light red or pink staining of nuclei requires only a few minutes of incubation in Liquid-Stable Nuclear Fast Red following the primary staining step. Slides are then washed in water, dehydrated and cleared before mounting with an organic mounting medium.
