Two Classic Demonstrations Using a Pair of Soda Bottles
- Demonstrate fluid motion and pressure
We supply two threaded connectors that connect a pair of plastic soda bottles mouth to mouth. One connector has a single hole; the other has two holes and plastic tubing. You supply the soda bottles and colored water. With the single-hole connector, you can create a vortex that simulates a tornado or waterspout by swirling a partially filled bottle then setting it upright. With the two-hole connector you make Hero’s fountain using the plastic tube and two partially filled bottles. Air pressure from the water in the upper bottle drives the fountain.
WARNING: Choking Hazard - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
