Antibiotics and antimycotics are used to prevent bacterial and fungal contamination in desired samples. These solutions inhibit the cell wall synthesis and protein synthesis of different potential gram-positive and gram-negative contaminants. The liquids are sterile and stable for use in tissue culture applications. These antibiotic and antimycotic mixtures have been aseptically prepared from the highest quality materials and are gamma-irradiated to ensure sterility. All bottles are functionally tested for compatibility with standard tissue culture systems.
