Light yellow solid. A cell-permeable thiazolidinedione compound that displays anti-proliferative properties. It preferentially binds to ERK2 with a KD of ~5µM and prevents its interaction with protein substrates. It is also shown to block ERK-mediated phosphorylation of ribosomal S6 kinase-1 (RSK-1) and ternary complex factor ELK-1 in HeLa cells, while exhibiting little effect on ERK1/2 phosphorylation by MEK1/2.

Packaged under inert gas. Protect from light. Hygroscopic. Store at 4°C (39°F). Following reconstitution, aliquot and store at –20°C (–4°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to three months when frozen. For research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic use.
