VWR® Square/Octagonal Media Bottles, Polycarbonate
Bottles Cell Culture Bottles
VWR® polycarbonate resin is an amorphous engineering thermoplastic, characterized by outstanding mechanical, optical, electrical, and thermal properties.
- Polycarbonate resin construction
- Optimal for preparation of terminally sterile fluids
The Lexan® resins employed are environmentally conforming to flame retardancy, scratch resistance, heat resistance, weatherability, biocompatibility, optical quality, and compliance with stringent FDA and USP requirements.
All bottles are produced and packaged in a cleanroom controlled environment and do not require rinsing prior to first use. Consequently, all VWR® polycarbonate vessels offer a safe alternative to glass. Bottles are ideal for use in applications including steam sterilization of all biologicals, liquids, reagents, media buffers, and aqueous solutions. They withstand repeated autoclaving, and are optimal for microbial culture media production and preparation of terminally sterile fluids.
Based on these properties and their inert nature, media bottles are the ideal vessels for lab use.
Ordering information: These nonsterile bottles are supplied with standard blue autoclavable caps attached in multi-barrier elastomer packaging. Caps are available with custom color options on bulk orders. See series 82013-158 for additional cap selections.
