UBE2D1 (UBCH5A) or ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2D1 is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family which is closely related to a stimulator of iron transport (SFT). UBE2D1 is significantly upregulated in livers of iron-overloaded patients with hereditary hemochromatosis (1). UBE2D1 also functions in the ubiquitination of the tumor-suppressor protein p53 and the hypoxia-inducible transcription factor HIF-1a by interacting with the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme and the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases (2). UBE2D1 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins Ubiquitin Proteins, Cancer, Cell Cycle, and Neurobiology research.

UBE2D1 Protein is stored in 50mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 300mM NaCl, 150mM imidazole, 0.1mM PMSF, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glycerol. UBE2D1 Protein is suitable for use in Western Blot. Expect a band approximately ~17kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
