BRAND® filtered pipette tips are free from sealing additives that can contaminate samples and allow easy sample recovery.
The ULR™ (Ultra Low Retention) treatment uses a physio-chemical process that covalently binds to the surface of the tip, with no coatings or polypropylene additives to contaminate samples. The resulting surface is more hydrophobic than PTFE to ensure the lowest possible retained fluid.
Tips are preminum quality, made from oleamide and diHEMDA-free resin, in one of the world's largest life science plastics cleanrooms. They are designed to fit most major brands. The nano-cap™ tips fit BRAND® 0.1 to 1 µl sub-micro Transferpette®, as well as most pipettes using ultra-micro or 'crystal' tips. The 0.5 to 10 µl and 1 to 20 µl tips also fit pipettes using ultra-micro or 'crystal' tips. The 2 to 20 µl, 5 to 100 µl, and 5 to 200 µl tips fit pipettes using standard 200 to 300 µl 'Yellow' tips. The 50 to 1000 µl tips fit pipettes using standard 1000 µl 'Blue' tips.
Filters made of pure polyethylene mean tips can be autoclaved at 121 °C for 20 min per DIN EN 285, without compromise. Tips are CE marked according to IVD-Directive 98/79 EC. The TipBox lid comes installed as hinged, but can be removed and rotated 180° to act as a lift off lid. Extra-rigid carrier plate is rimless to facilitate partial loading of multi-channel pipettes.
