This continuous reflux borosilicate glass apparatus keeps solvents pure and free of oxygen
- Solvent in reservoir is not re-heated by rising vapors in vapor tube and can be maintained at ambient temperature under nitrogen
- Small samples of dry solvent may be removed via syringe using the upper septum stoppered PTFE stopcock port
- Large quantities of solvent may be removed from side port into receiver with Standard Taper 24/40 ground glass joint
- Solvent may be recycled through center PTFE stopcock to maintain very dry material
Complete system includes reservoir/head, boiling flask, vacuum jacketed distilling column, Allihn condenser, adapter, and heating mantle. Joints are Standard Taper 24/40.
The modified solvent reservoir allows the preparation of pure, dry solvents in quantity. This equipment boasts several advantages over similar pieces.
