Penicllin-Streptomycin-Amphotericin B is used to supplement cell culture media.

Penicillin Concentration:10,000 IU/mL
Streptomycin Concentration:10 mg/mL
Amphotericin Concentration: 25 μg/mL
Effective against yeast, fungi, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria

Penicillin acts by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis

Recommended working concentration is 10 mg/L

Streptomycin inhibits prokaryote protein synthesis by preventing the transition from initiation complex to chain-elongating ribosome and causes miscoding. Amphotericin B interferes with fungal membrane permeability by forming channels in the membranes and causing small molecules to leak out. Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, fungi and yeasts.
