The PrimaPure™ system has been developed for the acquisition and growth of primary cells isolated from normal human neonatal foreskin or adult skin capillaries. They can be cultured and propagated at least 16 population doublings. They are responsive to cytokine stimulation in the expression of cell adhesion molecules. There is growing evidence of differences in physiology and pharmacology between microvascular endothelial cells and macrovascular endothelial cells.

HMVEC is an organ-specific endothelial cell system for the study of angiogenesis, tumor metastasis, wound healing, inflammation, macromolecule transport, and drug metabolism.
Storage: Store cryopreserved vials in liquid nitrogen, growth medium at 4 °C in dark, subculture reagent kit at -20 °C and the reagents at 4 °C upon thawing.
Delivery information: Kit contains an ampoule of cryopreserved HMVEC, 500 mL of HMVEC Cell Growth Medium, a Subculture Reagent Kit (including 100 mL each of HEPES Buffered Saline Solution, trypsin/EDTA, and trypsin neutralizing solution), two Extracellular Matrix Protein Coated T-25 flasks and Attachment Factor Solution.
