A multi-purpose transport for Chlamydia, Viruses, Ureaplasma, and Mycoplasma
The CVM has been extensively tested to assure viability for at least 48 hours for the following organisms: Herpes Simplex, Type I and II; Cytomegalovirus*; Influenza A and B; Respiratory Syncytial Virus; Echovirus; Adenovirus; Chlamydia trachomatis and pneumoniae; Mycoplasma hominis and pneumoniae; Ureaplasma urealyticum
The holding media is packaged in a tough, break-resistant, polypropylene centrifuge tube, with a secure screw-cap. Swabs not included. See R96KNP for the kit with swabs.
Difficult organisms are no problem for Hardy’s CVM Transport. Although the uninoculated CVM Transport is stored in the refrigerator, once the specimen is collected, it may be transported at refrigerator or room temperature for up to 48 hours.
