ROCK2, also named as KIAA0619, p164 ROCK-2 and Rho kinase 2, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is regulates the assembly of the actin cytoskeleton. ROCK2 promotes formation of stress fibers and of focal adhesion complexes. It plays a role in smooth muscle contraction. ROCK2 catalyzes the reaction: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein. The antibody is specific to ROCK2.
