Serum- and glucocorticoid-inducible kinase 3 (SGK3) is a protein kinase of the AGC family of protein kinase A, protein kinase G, and protein kinase C and functions downstream of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K). It is also named as DKFZp781N0293, CISK, SGK2, SGKL and may be involved in the regulation of processes such as cell survival, neuronal excitability, and renal sodium excretion. SGK3 mediates cell IL-3-dependent survival signals . SGK3 has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular weight of 57 kDa and 53 kDa.
