CCXCR1 is a Chemokine Receptor expressed in lymphotactin-responsive leukocyte cells. The viral macrophage inflammatory protein-II, vMIP-II (but not vMIP-I), has been found to be an antagonist of lymphotactin activity at CCXCR1. The CCXCR1 gene is located near the genes for C-C chemokine receptor 9 and SIV/HIV receptor Bonzo on chromosome 3. CCXCR1 is associated with inflammatory and immunological responses by regulating the trafficking of T and B lymphocytes and neutrophils. The up-regulation of CCXCR1 in peripheral T cells is correlated with the inflammatory process observed in Crohns disease.
XCR1 antibody can be used in ELISA, Western Blot, and immunohistochemistry starting at 5 ?g/mL.
