HTS Multiwell Insert Systems have been successfully used for a variety of applications, including transport, diffusion, secretion, permeability, and drug uptake studies of natural and synthetic compounds
Falcon® cell culture inserts are available in automation friendly, one-piece, 96-well formats. The integrated one-piece design of these 96-well multiwell platforms facilitate manipulation and are compatible with most robotics and fluid-handling instruments. Insert systems with feeder tray feature a PET membrane and are supplied sterile. The square well receiver trays are designed for basal chamber sampling.
Additional applications include investigations into the mechanisms of the cellular uptake of pathogens, and in vitro toxicology studies using a variety of cells. Independent access to the apical and basolateral domains of polarized cells permits the study of protein sorting receptor localization, vectorial transport, and viral/bacterial pathogenesis.
