Human LIP1 Trifluoroacetate
LIP1 is a peptide derived from the proregion of the nerve growth factor (NGF). The 29 amino acid peptide shows multiple biological activities. It induces F-actin rearrangement, phosphorylation of TrkA and Akt, exerts anti-proliferative effects on the mitogenic activity of estrogen and IGF in MCF-7 breast cancer cells, and is neuroprotective in vivo and in vitro. Similar to LIP2 (H-6602) high levels of LIP1 are present in the sera and the synovial fluid of rheumatoid arthritis patients.
