Albumin bovine fraction V is the only commercially available Bovine Serum Albumin that is essentially fatty acid free. While other suppliers may make claims of fatty acid free albumin with fatty acids content of <0.2 mg/gm protein, this grade of albumin has been assayed for fatty acids content of <0.05 mg/gm protein ( >0.005%).Due to new manufacturing processes, this albumin has been made available at a very economical price. This grade is manufactured for those applications which require low fatty acids for minimization of extraneous variables in their protocols.
