Antibodies

PRG2 is a cytotoxin and helminthotoxin. Also induces noncytolytic histamine release from human basophils. Involved in antiparasitic defense mechanisms and immune hypersensitivity reactions. The proform acts as a proteinase inhibitor, reducing the activity of PAPPA. In pregnancy serum, the proform exists as a disulfide-linked 2:2 heterotetramer with PAPPA, as a disulfide-linked 2:2 heterotetramer with AGT, and as a complex (probably a 2:2:2 heterohexamer) with AGT and C3dg.

ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IHC-P: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Perform enzymatic antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol. IHC-Fr: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Predicted molecular weight: 26.6 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
