Members of the Myc gene (c-Myc, n-Myc, and L-Myc) family code for proteins that homodimerize but do not bind well to DNA. Myc-Max heterodimers, however, bind with great affinity to the sequence CACGTG and act to initiate transcription of target genes.
Recommended Starting Dilutions:
For WB: Use at a dilution of 1:500-1:1000.
For ChIP: Use at a dilution of 1:10-1:500.
For GS: Use at a dilution of 1:1-1:100.
For ICC/IF: Use at a dilution of 1:50-1:100.
For IP: Use at a dilution of 1:10-1:100.
Optimal dilutions should be determined experimentally by the researcher.
